Rodents !! How to get rid of them

Mice need to get water every day, so they leave the nest daily. They navigate primarily by scent. Some strong peppermint scent usually works to confuse them so they can't find their trails and causes them to move on. Also, they can't regurgitate. A ring of lime around your vehicle will cause...

How far would you ride to grab lunch round trip?

Like many others who ride an FJR, I have ridden many, many miles to meet with other FJR riders for a meal. I suppose the only limit was how much time I had and who else was there. It was always a round trip because I always ended up back home eventually. Since you mention lunch, I would think...

    Food and cooking.

My wife is making the turkey because I tend to overcook it. I'll make sausage stuffing and a couple of pies.

    Feej and the pirates

I have had similar experiences following Honda Gold Wings, except there have been a couple of times where the Gold Wing rider out performed me. It's all fun as long as no one pushes beyond his ability. The worst for me is when I come upon a long parade of 'low and slow' riders who do their best...

It looks different from the REGO that I have, but it looks like it will do the job. I bought a cheap one when I first set my propane tanks up and it did not work well for me so I bought the REGO, which is designed for larger tanks. That Mr. Heater one looks like it is designed for RV...

One more thing I have that I didn't mention is an adapter that fits the 100 lb tank and adapts it to the type of thread that a typical grill tank uses. That made it easier for me to get hoses to connect the tanks to the regulator. These adapters are common and the places around here which fill...

I use a REGO 7525. I don't remember where I bought it, but here is a link to the REGO web site.

It looks like Padre knows more about it than I do. Around here propane delivery trucks normally have fairly long hoses so they might be able to fill the snowman (pig) tanks, that is if they can get them through the space between the houses in the first place. You can usually contact the supplier...

It is common in my area for people to switch from fuel oil to propane for heat so they can take advantage of the modern high efficiency boilers. Rather than install a large propane tank they generally get several 100 gallon tanks. They call the 'snowman' tanks. They are heavy enough that fuel...

Are you asking about a permanent installation of a propane powered Generac that will switch on automatically when the power goes out, the ones which are normally installed on a concrete slab? Does this help: Installation Instructions

    Non motorcycle tire question

I just put a set of Cooper AT3 4S tires on my Tundra. They are not snow tires, but work very well in the snow. They are load range D, so they are a bit lighter and the sidewalls are a little more flexible than the typical E tires. I chose these because they are quieter and give a little more...

Glad you are OK. I hope you didn't have any pipes freeze. That's the biggest problem where I live when the power goes out in the winter. Regarding dual fuel generators, I assume you are thinking about gasoline/propane. I don't have one, but they are very popular because people who use propane...

Good to hear from you. I hope you get through this OK. I remember the last time my community lost power for an extended period. The temperatures were hovering just above freezing. I heat with wood so my house was warm, but we drove out far enough to find a restaurant that was open one evening...

    Ford Ranger 4WD not engaging

It is simple enough to put a meter on the wires that plug into the solenoid to see if voltage is applied when it is trying to engage 4WD. If you have voltage but the solenoid is not moving then replace the solenoid. On my old Chevy it was very easy to get to it.

    Ford Ranger 4WD not engaging

I know nothing about Fords, but my Chevy had a solenoid in the transfer case that would engage 4WD. My solenoid failed and it would not go into 4WD. FWIW, I also had an old Suburban that would not go into 4WD because the drive shaft to the front differential had rusted and broken off.
