    FJR Forum Decal design

I agree with some of the above, the top-box should be OEM or not there at all. I don't think the windscreen is OEM either, in my opinion it should be. For the little silhouette in my signature, I started with this (OEM touring windscreen, 50 litre top-box): (Click on image for larger view)...

"I want you to enjoy your bike."

I, too, occasionally read through it. As for my expressing myself, it's the emotions that allow it. Never easy, but it helped me. Have i got over her death? No. Don't think I ever will. I'm not sure I even want to, but that's getting a bit deep. I appreciate your suggestion for a smaller...

    Thank you.

What did you do to your FJR today?

I'm the opposite. The FJR keeps me young, my grandkids make me feel very old.

What did you do to your FJR today?

I never use the thumb for changing down, I just use my forefinger to flick the one part of the switch forwards or backwards. Hand remains perfectly on the grip.. Totally second nature after a few changes, and it's very rapid going between up- and down- changes; your hand doesn't move at all...

    10W-50 vs. 10W-40 Motor Oil

Oil certainly changes its properties in use, viscosity, cleansing abilities and so on, let alone build-up of contaminants. Which is why it, and the filter, should be changed regularly.

    10W-50 vs. 10W-40 Motor Oil

I can't remember a single instance of a report of an FJR motor or gearbox failure due to the use of the "wrong" oil. Use it.

"I want you to enjoy your bike."

Five years today.. I got totally pissed. Never mind, she would have liked the wine. Spain in a few days. Good night.

    Cars, hurricanes, insurance, and replacements.

Sounds like encouraging progress. At least the cats have somewhere to laze. Hope those pots by the white one are glued down, or there might be more unforeseen expense.

    James Webb Space Telescope

Granddaughter just sent me this picture of one of her cats in its own gravity well. (Click on image for larger view) Buster in a gravity well (or on a bean-bag) Sorry, couldn't resist.

    Remembering Tim, Twowheelnut

I can remember having "conversations" with him shortly after I joined the forum. Even from this side of the Pond he came across as one of the good guys.

    2005 Oil viscosity

I don't remember hearing of anyone having an engine or transmission problem that could be related to oil, its type, manufacturer, viscosity or even its colour. Use whatever motorcycle oil that makes you feel good.

    Sad News

I'm really sorry to hear this, you do have my sincere condolences.  If you want to converse with someone who's gone through a similar experience, please feel free to PM me. I don't know if it will help you at all, but the offer is there.

    COVID-19 Catch All

Why do you think I cropped the head off in my photo?

    COVID-19 Catch All

Haha. Well, if we are doing conspiracy theories, I know electronics is small, but have you seen the inner diameter of the needles used? I'll not worry about such ****** (can't think of a printable phrase that adequately expresses my opinion of that). I'm 78, so I figure I'm at far higher risk...

    COVID-19 Catch All

Today I had my first vaccine injection. (Click on image for larger view) The T-shirt? Daughter got it for me. She obviously thought that the only other short-sleeved shirt I have is inappropriate. That one was bought for me by my son, before a trip to Ireland.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Take off the original rack, offer up the new rack, see where it would interfere with the plastic. It's shown towards the bottom left of this picture: (Click on image for larger view)

    Knifemaker making knives.

If your She is anything like my She was, I would suggest hiding them before finally trashing them. Just in case of the "Where's my favourite knife gone?" interminable and increasingly angry questioning. (This can continue for weeks, with the level of “favourite" and anger rising the longer it's...

What did you do to your FJR today?

Not quite plug-and-play to fit. Requires a little cutting of the side plastic. The instructions tell you to remove parts to do that, there's no need, with a little care it can be done perfectly well in situ. Make sure you use the spacers as per the instructions or you will put much stress on the...
