Valve check... Should I leave well enough alone or dig in

It is time. There is a possibility it could only be a check but why take the chance. You state that you have a ride that "runs flawlessly and I you want to keep it that way". Replacing a CCT (if not already done) would be wise as well. Just performing the valve check maintenance opens up...

    Clearwater Lights install instructions?

Your initial post is what got me started, but this post was due to thinking along the lines that if assistance was needed on the install TM is just a few minutes away, and we all know that he always needs an excuse to get in a few more miles. Thanks for the reminder

    Clearwater Lights install instructions?

TM, I should have ignored this thread, as Clearwater also has a complementary Krista/Erica Hybrid option, you get one of each for the pair of Kristas. This also works for Erica's getting one Sevina. I do not know if this is a regular option but it is available now. I may have to suck it up and...

    Throttle Position Sensor Screws

I missed 25mm as the length sorry. I was the one assisting Roger getting the screws started. Try pulling out the side of the fairing just a little to get some additional clearance. Start the back screw first and snug it to finger tight. We added a thick grease to the bit as this helped hold the...

    Throttle Position Sensor Screws

It not 25mm. The T25 security bit (Torx) is a 6 sided star screw looking. The security portion is a hole in the center of the driver bit. Here are some good images. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7pc-Hollow-Security-Torx-Bit-Set-CT3706-T9-T10-T15-T20-T25-T27-T30-Freepost-/231955200989 rd you are...

2006 Carb TB Synch - EMGO Synch Tool

I have one very near the same as this and it is has been collecting dust for a number large number of years. It did not work as advertised. Personally I would send it back as the dial gauges are not worth it. BTY I now am use the Motion Pro and am very happy with the results.

2016-03-31 KrZy8 Running Rough just above idle

Does the misfiring when the engine is cold happen in a similar manor with the stock exhaust? If so, the aftermarket exhaust may be flowing a bit more than stock, and when cold the stock ECU mapping may not be keeping up. By any chance have you tried changing the settings with the Bavarian...

    Pulling rear shock

I did this yesterday, I loosened the rear dog bones bolt, and supported the rear wheel. The small amount of flex in the allowed the dog bones was all that was needed to got everything through from the bottom side. Getting the top bolt pushed back through was the only fun item without a second...

    Garauld's stiffy with Givi sr357

I just installed the pair on a Gen II today. It appeared that the sub-frame had already been tweaked just a little it, as there was a very small gap towards the rear part of the stiffy kit. I also noticed that there appeared to be a slight gap between the front bracing of the 357 and the...

Should I get a TBS done while I get my valves checked

I'm a believer in the unauthorized TBS, especially if you have an extra buzzy rpm range in the normal highway speeds. If there is a tech day that you could make it to, it's another option.

    2014 Buzzy Bars

I found that doing the unauthorized TBS and balancing @ 4000RPM in 5th gear with a slight load (light pressure on rear brake to simulate road loading) that it reduced the buzz quite a bit. My TB's were not off very far at an idle but at 4k one of the cylinders was quite a bit off. Two other...

The Really, Definitely Completely Un-Authorized TBS

I did the TBS earlier this year using this method of loading @4k RPM in 4th gear, and noticed the same initial readings of cylinders 1 & 4 being higher in vacuum than 2 & 3 with a Morgan carb tune. We noticed nearly the same readings on another members FJR at the MN tech day this spring ans his...
