How to remove Plexsus from Shoei pinlock insert??

Okay, I never have used Plexus on an insert.  Only thing I’ve ever used is water.

How to remove Plexsus from Shoei pinlock insert??

The insert is also very soft relative to the visor or other plastics you’ve been cleaning.  It may be scratched.

    What is this wire?

They are all wrong.... trust me.  It is a rectal probe.  When properly "mounted" it tells the ECU when you are about to crap your pants and the ECU limits the power output by 50%.  Use some good lube when you insert it (Yamaha requires the lube to be rated by the API as ASS,  but that is a...

Valve Cover Rubber Needed? (Was Oh Crap!)

I believe you have the caption The offender under the wrong picture. Should it not be under a selfie? Glad it worked out in the end.

    Hearing Aids

I too was subjected to 27 years of converting your tax dollars into loud noises, smoke and occasional carnage. Spousal Unit and our daughter have claimed for years that I need hearing aids. When I retired I saw a Doctor of Audiology in lieu of the normal sit in a sound proof booth and push a...

Advice on Cutting Off Rounded Centerstand Bolts

One essential piece of advice that has yet to be mentioned..... do not attempt removing the bolt while the bike is supported by the center stand. Carry on.

    FJR ABS Test Harness

I do this often... can't hurt, but the harness now accomplishes the same thing. For our Beemers Ihave a GS911 diagnostic device that allows for testing and bleeding the ABS pump much like the harness does for the FJR.

    FJR ABS Test Harness

I am a proud owner of one of Rays test harnesses. It works well, easy to install and clear instructions.

Used FJR purchase - Service advice requested

I would add disassemble the brake calipers, clean them and make sure all the pistons are moving freely. Those things may have been sitting for a long while with corrosive stuff in them.

Pop rivets... lots of pop rivets.

    Defer maintenance 1000 miles?

I believe it just may be that this was less a recommendation than it was a fiat from their CFO. Most riders, including FJR riders are not much like the riders you see on this and other forums. I know three other FJR owners here in podunk Montana. None of them have a clue about working on...

    Defer maintenance 1000 miles?

Oh, I disagree. I recomend changing most of the fluids before riding it much. If it is important to you that your services line-up with the odometer, then ride the extra 1000 miles at the end of the first service you do. I'd be particularly worried about the brake fluid and especially the ABS...

Running wires from front to back

Protects the FuzeBloc and wiring from dust, moisture and inadvertant contact. Probably overkill, but has served me well.
