    Harley Bag on FJR?

Be aware that they are in Ukraine, so you might check to see if they are still shipping. Generic style: https://www.mmotoracks.com/product/whole-welded-luggage-rack-system-for-fastening-aluminum-cases-for-yamaha-fjr1300 Givi Style...

    Harley Bag on FJR?

You would need something like my Ukrainian setup as a base to build your mounts. Maybe not as extensive as this, but something you can build off.

    Ebay special Kawai H2SXSE

I bought my 2007 3? years ago with 16K on it for 4K Seems like a reasonable price, but it needs to be gone through since all it has done is sit.

To lean or counter-lean, that is the question...

Yeah, I've seen that and to be honest that is the habit that it took years for me to break. I'm a downhill ski racer - angulation (counter lean) is key due to how skis bite the snow, the fact that you are trying to turn close to gates and that you have almost unlimited angle available (until...

To lean or counter-lean, that is the question...

For me - head/body typically same angle or more angle than bike when riding quickly. Depends on the bike - the FJR is a lot harder for me to really hang off of than my other bikes. Counter steer (which is not counter lean) for me is usually a butt saving maneuver. I've also heard the argument...

    Harley Davidson Mistake

Yes. 2 bike minimum. I have learned the importance of that after buying a Ducati and selling my fz1. Thankfully I have the FJR. That Ducati is one more problem away from becoming a MT-10 no matter how pretty it is.

    Harley Davidson Mistake

I was super close to buying a Pan America this winter, finally a harley motor that made an acceptable amount of power. Unfortunately they seemed to need a couple more years to work out all the electrical glitches

    Harley Davidson Mistake

You must still have the stock exhaust on. You need to get some obnoxiously loud pipes to cover the Harley sounds ;)

    National Motorcycle Museum

Friday decided to take a run down to the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamora IA - before it closes for good in the fall. 640ish round trip on the Ducati, took the fun way down along the river and the boring way back on the freeways (storm coming in). Well worth the trip to see what they have.

    Selling? Handling Test Ride Requests

If the cash is in your hand - how did they steal it? They paid for it and forgot to get the title at that point.

    Selling? Handling Test Ride Requests

Guy who bought my DL1000 pulled up on a gold wing. Figured he could handle a top heavy bike. First person who looked at my fz1 pulled up on a 125 scooter - I had some apprehension.

    Selling? Handling Test Ride Requests

No way. I would rather have them crash it that be liable for some dumb accident. Especially since the average fjr rider outweighs my normal passenger by 100lbs +.

    Selling? Handling Test Ride Requests

I've sold a few bikes, one a couple weeks ago. Once they have taken a look at it and have cash in hand,I hop on one of the other bikes and lead or follow.

    The other bike

Hopefully. Have not had any fun on it yet - just a grind home ;)

    The other bike

Picked this up near Charlotte on Friday. Got home to MN around 6pm saturday after 1200 miles of wind rain and snow. Pretty comfortable for a stock bike, even at 6ft tall. I had a few parts on the bench waiting for it, so it now has some 15mm bar spacers, SW Motech luggage, GPS. It isn't...

    Long-Distance Endurance MT10 Project

I dunno. Most chains I have seen that people lube are covered in the grime that the lube attracts, and that grime is what seems to chew up the o/x rings. I wipe them off with a rag and some WD40 once a year, but that is about it.

    Long-Distance Endurance MT10 Project

So, why a GPS for an oiler? Why an oiler at all? Modern x ring chains work fine for 30k miles or so without dousing them in oil. My fz1 is on chain number 3 and has 71k on it. The Ducati ss-s did 1239 miles Friday -Sat, don't plan on even looking at the chain. Nothing like freeway miles to...

    Long-Distance Endurance MT10 Project

N Not buying it, but good luck with your choice. On a erage a tire lasts me 3-4k, which is 4-5 months. They don't even snap in half when you pull them out with a pliers at each tire change.
