Both headlights on with engine running?

Your dealer is wrong, your memory is right, and you likely have a blown low beam bulb....unless you've fiddled with wiring. You might replace both H4s as they tend to go out around the same time.

    2015 FJR Headlight mount

The bike must have fallen down and gone boom. Sounds about right if it's the headlight assembly studs...although I've never heard of all four popping without it being a very obvious collision. Headlight assemblies are not cheap. Assuming it's the assembly you can go check yourself at online...

Black on gold FJR. Only in Japan?

I didn't know that one. Thank you for teaching me something new. :)

Black on gold FJR. Only in Japan?

Nope! You're talking about the "UIltimate Edition" FJR that was offered in the various FJR markets the final year of their availability....and/or anniversary. The FJR remains available for purchase in the United States (and Canada)...so not offered. There is reasonable speculation that when...

    Should black hex box remain?

Now that you've read the owner's manual and doesn't resolve your issue, you might further qualify your question to narrow it to a point somebody with a Gen 2 bike might be able to answer. I don't have a Gen 2 or know the answer, so I could only help you get the manual you should have had for...

    Should black hex box remain?

Sure! I Googled "2006 fjr owners manual" and two or three hits in the first page alone. Download one for your year off of various websites. Or get one free for sure from Yamaha's website. https://web01.yamahamotorsports.com/yamaha-manuals

    Should black hex box remain?

Did you read starting on section 3-4 of your owner's manual yet?

General consensus - Should I rebuild calipers on 2013 A at 24k miles?

I agree.....on both points, but note I only have about 250K on FJRs. If the seals aren't leakin'....I'm not worrying.

I'm looking for a diagram showing the "rider triangle" or "motorcycle triangle" for the FJR.

I've been with the FJR 19 years and never seen one. That said, I found this one on the first hit: https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=motorycycle+rider+triangle+comparison

    2024 FJR1300 Announced - No Changes

Gunny! I had penciled in a "black/gold" into my own personal budget. Many quatloos saved!

    2024 FJR1300?

It's official. There's a 2024 in the U.S. once again and no changes from the previous year. Use this thread for discussion. https://www.fjrforum.com/threads/2024-fjr1300-announced-no-changes.181405/

Good job on the first snag Skooty! Pinning.

What is this, and where does it go?

Welcome to the one thing mentioned literally hundreds of times on the forum that people can't seem to find nor reasonably search for in advance. I'm sure it's in the New Owners Read this, but not the easiest to find. And it also is sitting there with no label, not secured to anything, as if...

More RPM vs speedo but different...maybe

In 2005 when I got my first FJR I thought the engine was more like an electric train and has been one of the smoothest and highest output motorcycle engines I've had. The decent horsepower and linear torque make it more like you're turning a knob and wherever you turn it to...it goes nearly...

More RPM vs speedo but different...maybe

Any gear, any speed, and any RPM as long as it's not red-lined or lugging. Simple.

    US ECU in a rest-of-the-world 2009?

I don't know the answer directly, but some thoughts more more research: Did you compare actual part numbers? While it wouldn't do anything if they're different-- you might get lucky and if they're the same numbers across the pond that would very likely affirm they're interchangeable. Or does...

    2024 FJR1300?

No. Only Yamaha knows for sure and they won't say until it happens..or presumably that it won't. And to be accurate, the FJR was retired in various markets several years ago ostensibly because of Euro emissions changes. It has continued in North America and several other markets. This is also...

    FJR TECH.COM

To be clear, it was moved to FJRTech.net and the other .com isn't active at all...long story with the domain name renewal. As for it not being under development, that's likely a polite way of saying the 20 year old web code or hosting system (he used ColdFusion) has been retired and/or insecure...
