Both headlights on with engine running?

For a Gen 2 - do yourself a favor and go LED. It is amazing how much light you get.

Both headlights on with engine running?

They should both be on, both bulbs are hi-low. They must be thinking of an R1

Can you order a 2024 FJR in a different color?

Better off with a car place. Most custom motorcycle paint is Harley stuff. Auto shop will have more experience with flexible plastics.

Can you order a 2024 FJR in a different color?

I agree. Not a fan of black or blue, which really reduces the options with an FJR.

    What are buttons for?

4 years ago I bought a 2007 for 4K with 16K miles on it. Prices have gone up a bit since then. Understand that 1300 miles on a 16 year old bike is not really a selling point.

    What are buttons for?

Heated grips is an option. Take a picture of left side black cover by glove box. Pretty sure that is where control would be.

    Wrist pain after 3 hours

ABM bar conversion so that you can find some bars with less pullback. The FJR stock bars never worked for me, my Ducati is more comfortable. Once I could put some bars with less pullback - life was good.

Would you pay the Dealer or Replace ABS brake lines Yourself?

Swapping hoses is a 1 banana job. Bleeding the brakes is more difficult.

Would you pay the Dealer or Replace ABS brake lines Yourself?

$3500 plus parts on a gen 1? Buy another one for 3k and transfer your accessories.

Would you pay the Dealer or Replace ABS brake lines Yourself?

I guess I assumed the $1100 was all labor. If that includes the $400ish worth of brake lines then that is better

Would you pay the Dealer or Replace ABS brake lines Yourself?

I would disagree with that. The only place you need to worry about air is the abs block itself. Otherwise you do a normal bleed process. Suction bleeder helps a lot, especially if you keep it going while actuating the ABS block (more to clean the old fluid than anything else). Main tip from...

Would you pay the Dealer or Replace ABS brake lines Yourself?

Not a huge deal to do yourself as long as you are comfortable bleeding the brakes. Couple hours max for anyone qualified to pay them, so $1100 is insane.

    E15 / Unleaded 88 in 2008 FJR1300

I leave e10 in everything. Only thing I run dry is the Briggs carb on my generator. Everything else with carbs is either Honda powered or 2 stroke and could care less.

Our local Holiday stations are the same - the Super 88 is labeled very clearly as E15, with a bunch of disclaimers

I have noticed that Stihl equiment is super sensitive to fuel - which is crazy for something that runs on oil/gas. Thankfully the Husqvarna stuff will run on bacon grease ;)

Not that tough to understand. Map built for 10% alcohol max. This like the discussions about towing over max with a truck - yup, might work.

    E15 / Unleaded 88 in 2008 FJR1300

The FJR has a large engine that doesn't need to work very hard. In cooler weather mine runs cooler, even if I keep it up in the 5-6K RPM range.

A few years ago? LOL - Minnesota has had ethanol for decades (like 30 years or so). You can hardly get anything but E10 here. The only fuel lines that are still falling apart from ethanol were past their expiration date years and years ago.

    E15 / Unleaded 88 in 2008 FJR1300

Correct, which means that they did not create the fuel map with E15 as a possibility. Also worth noting that E10/E15 define the maximum amount of corn juice that can be in the fuel. At least with E10/E85, I have read articles where testing showed that the levels were lower than that. So the...

    E15 / Unleaded 88 in 2008 FJR1300

E15 is super common around here, but the only vehicle we own that might be able to run on it is my hemi RAM. Everything else we have either requires 91 octane, or specifically says not to use it.
