Incriments On The Fjr Temp Gauge

Interesting. My Gen 2 reads 4 bars as a normal operating temp. Goes to 5 on warmer days. Never goes above 6 thanks to the Ivan Flash turning the fans on sooner.

    FJR Age Limit

I finally retired my 1983 Honda V65 Magna. Parts were getting harder to find and I had to do all of the work myself. I'm grateful the 2008 FJR just keeps on going!

Finally, a bike uglier than Brodie's old AE!

That's the first motorcycle ambulance I think I've ever seen. Getting a paramedic on scene quickly before the meat wagon can be on scene is probably a game changer. They should adopt that in the USA.

26 psi? Yeah you would have ended up in the river!

Do you all get “challenged” at stop lights?

The newer ones have a boatload of torque. But you have to spend $30K to get one.

    2022 Yamaha FJR

Friend of mine bought a brand new Harley Road Glide and the belt broke out on a ride at 1100 miles. Required a tow and hours of labor to replace it. They even had the nerve to tell him it wasn't covered under warranty and was a wear item! Just because the service life is SUPPOSED to be high...

    2022 Yamaha FJR

I shall never own another chain drive motorcycle as long as I live. No belts, either.

    2018 FJR - 3 Years in

Yes, tire pressure is very important on this bike and not what the manual calls for. 42 front and 42 rear works great for me!  I'm currently running a Bridgestone T31 EVO GT on the front and a T32 GT on the back. I have also run Pirelli Angels with the same pressures with good results.

Do you all get “challenged” at stop lights?

I drive a Cadillac XTS V-Sport Platinum.  Complete sleeper.  I had a mid 80's Camaro pull up next to me at a red light yesterday.  Big hood bulge, hot cam, etc.  Deep loping, rumbling idle.  I left him behind only using half throttle and half boost.  Bet he was surprised.

Just crossed 103,000 on my trusty steed last weekend.

Any Info on buying below MSRP?

    Nicely farkled too!

    Name that FJR

I call mine Ebony because she is black. My previous car was a White Diamond Cadillac STS so her name was Ivory. Thus I had Ebony and Ivory living together in perfect harmony side by side in my garage 🤣. My new Cadillac is black. Oh well. 🤣 Edit:  I'm now considering either Onyx or Obsidian for...

gained 1/2", lost Rider Seat Height Adjuster

I found that my seat wiggles around without the plastic frame in place. It is however an aftermarket seat of unknown origin. I'll just keep the frame in the low position.

    Rub Marks on ES Fork

Given the number of friends that have passed on recently, getting old isn't a given either!

Would you take on the project?

Yeah, I agree. A thousand is the absolute most that I would give.

Like George, if a '17 were to come along for the right price I would be in trouble. I just love the Raven paint.
