    FJR Naked Street project

Are you planning to put any pipes on? Otherwise it may be the loudest FJR ever. On the flip side, why not FZ1? Just curious....

New 2017 FJR Announced, Raven it is!

I like that chrome pieces on the sides. It would probably look nice on any color but silver.

Looking at trading my 08 M109R2 for an 08 FJR...thoughts?

One of my previous bikes was an Intruder 1500. Like others said, 60k miles is no biggie if the bike was taken care of. Main difference between your current bike and FJR to be expected: - control, FJR is light years more precise in corners than any cruiser, much more like FZ6R with some...

    Is FJR a good commuter?

25 miles each way, 20 highway, 5 city. Fast and easy in the morning, pretty slow and busy in the afternoon. I find the weight to be completely not disturbing what unfortunately cannot be said about the speeds I sometimes find myself at all of the sudden.

Antilock brakes on a motorcycle = awesome!

I was always afraid of making the stoppie and flip over the bars. I guess I'll have to give it a try...

Antilock brakes on a motorcycle = awesome!

I don't think I'd dare that on dry I had the ABS save my ass once at the front wheel on BMW GS - stupid me getting in front of the cage to the left turn lane I hit the brake and forgot about the continuous white lane (it was raining). Next I remember was a bit of a slide from the front and the...

    Pulled the trigger on a 2006 FJR1300

Congrats on your purchase/swap. How many miles on the beauty?

    Is this a good deal?

It must be good to live in SC. I got my 06 AE with 60k miles for $4300 and I consider it a good deal. It depends quite a bit on local market pricing.

How Would YOU Sell This Bike?

I'd say if you post it as is for around $3000 and won't hide the issues it should go reasonably fast. The downs you mention are sort of a bummer but someone could possibly still squeeze another 5k miles out of it riding a big touring machine. Selling it honestly and at low price would also save...

    Barbecued FJR

From the above it seems like it's a shame you didn't try to start it and take for a spin before you cut it to pieces. The smell would be surely salvageable and will out last most of us. Was it manual or automatic clutch?

    AE clutch feeling

OK, that is something that I'll have to keep in mind than. I'm thinking about an AE mainly due to the heated grips and paddle shift which seem to be interesting but if that kick in is supposed to be hard that's something to take into consideration too.

    AE clutch feeling

I was looking today at a 2008 FJR1300AE that I could be interested in. I didn't make a test ride but I did try it a bit stationary. I started the engine (it had to crank a bit) and with the brake on set the first gear. I was surprised with the strong push/kick and sound it made. Is it normal? I...
