19th annual Ride to the Rock!!!! Saturday 11/21/2020

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls:
I am putting on the schedule the 19th annual 'Ride to the Rock'. The ride leaves from my humble abode in Lincoln RI at 9am and travels the backroads of southeastern MA to Plymouth MA to visit 'the Rock' in honor of our forefathers and Thanksgiving. The ride is usually held the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year BUT DATE CHANGED THIS YEAR TO THE SATURDAY BEFORE due to the pandemic to get there before the crowds as this is the 400 anniv. of the crossing so the Mayflower II should be back in place. (rain/snow date Sunday 11/22). The ride will go on regardless of how cold it is or how many attend-we have had as many as 29 bikes and as few as 3. We couldn't care less what you ride but we do require the noisy HDs to ride in the rear. Leave a PM here if you would like more info and directions to my house and hotels. DRESS WARM!! Coffee and donuts will be served before the ride at 7:30. KSU at 9am.

Forecast is 20 degrees warmer than when I had your first coffee 3? years ago.  Smart move, for the date, considering the tourists. Dan

I was there a few weeks ago and it was busy. I don't plan on stopping at the ship-just at the monument to our fore-fathers

George, I just saw this. A DAY LATE _______ :( It was a good day for a ride too. Instead I was cleaning gutters and mulching leaves.

I hope your ride was nice.

Bummer. It was a great day and ride. 5 bikes and 7 riders enjoyed 60+ temps and 150 miles of mostly back roads. It was way too crowded to stop at the new Mayflower but we had a nice lunch at the 'monument to our forefathers'
