2004 FJR Still running hard

Yamaha FJR owner since 2010. Love the bike with new suspension added trunk and at one point trailer hitch. Love the bike!!

I have my 2004, too. But haven't ridden since before the pandemic.

My '04 still running strong; bought new with hardly ever a problem. Not high miles (but high smiles; just over 40,000) and that's the way I like it.

Bought an '03 new, 4 '04's since.....approx 500K miles: 1 clutch slave cylinder, 1 cam chain tensioner, 1 TPS. One had 167K miles, another 203K miles.

My 05 w 58k miles is still running strong, No repairs of any sort required on it to date.... haven't even checked the valves... would say "my bad," but I sold it to a close friend and ride with him often now that I own a Gold Wing. Now his responsibility to check the valves and etc. Anyway, Big Blue has been so reliable... even let it sit for something like 15 months without being started (two different times) while I had it, but it still started immediately each time without any issues. Great machine.

Gotta love these FJR's - I had a 2014 & put 105,000 on it in 38 months with never a problem - now have a 2018 - just love em.
