Just to illustrate where it is...

Fuel tank, and the entire intake system (air box and throttle bodies) have to come off before you can even see the starter.

The first video sounds like a problem I had with my bike.

I only had the bike a few days and it fell over and left a huge dent in the fuel tank.

I bought a used tank, minus fuel pump. Transferred the parts over and starting the bike became a PITA.

The starter would spin and it would eventually start but wouldn't idle and would only keep running by blipping the throttle.

A few FJR FAQs (all junk information) implied that the bike needed a full start/run cycle for the ECU to calibrate. So after blipping and running for over an hour, the silencers were glowing hot (weak mixture?).

I had the bike towed to a local shop and after a day, they found the problem. It was the seat/seal of the fuel pump assembly. Anyone who has pulled these apart knows that it's a snap fit. Mine wasn't seating correctly and the injector lines weren't getting enough pressure. I was impressed with these guys!

Not saying this is the OPs problem but with a fully charged battery, spinning the engine should get the SOB started.

Hey guys, I finally found out what the problem was. My fuel pump was going out. so it was really hesitant when given it gas. One day it went out all together and I knew it was the fuel pump cause she stopped cycling when you turn the key. So I had the fuel pump replaced. So here is the kicker so to speak. Remember I said that there was this snapping arcing sound when I pressed the starter button..... well I found out what it was.... My positive lead to the battery was loose., but I mean really loose, almost to the point where you could pull the bolt on the battery without turning it. I couldn't f_cking believe it. (I feel like a heel!) anyway, I tighten the positive battery bolt, and walla! She starts like the first day I got her in 2007. No more arcing etc. So I want to thank all of you that chimed in trying to help. Oh, and don't forget to check the battery terminal every once in a while, they can come loose like mine did and create a world of shit. Thanks again, and ride safe!
