Hey all,

Got a problem.. I know I know, I shouldn't have done this but, was cleaning the bike and noticed some dirt around one of the three bolts that fasten the clutch slave cylinder to the engine block. Figuring I had a seeping fluid leak from a loose bolt I grabbed an allen wrench and tightened.. You know where this is going. Snap! I stripped the thread in the block.

OK. Now to repair. Need info on what to expect if I loosen the other two bolts to remove the cylinder to insert a new thread insert. Will anything pop out? Is the cylinder self contained(I won't have to do the dreaded clutch bleed I've been reading about)? Any info would help Thanks Dan

Remove the cylinder and do the repair in the threads, but when the cylinder will be out, until to do the repair, wrap the piston with its cylinder with something as a tape to prevent the piston to pop out after some time.Thats it!
