Ladies and gentlemen:
I am putting on the schedule the 14th annual 'Ride to the Rock'. The ride leaves from my humble abode in Lincoln RI at 9am and travels the backroads of southeastern MA to Plymouth MA to visit 'the Rock' in honor of our forefathers and Thanksgiving. The ride is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year (rain/snow date Sunday 11/29). The ride will go on regardless of how cold it is or how many attend-we have had as many as 29 bikes and as few as 3. We couldn't care less what you ride but we do require the noisy HDs to ride in the rear. Leave a message here if you would like more info and directions to my house. DRESS WARM!! Coffee and donuts will be served before the ride at 7:30. KSU at 9am.

One of these years I am going to make this ride. The latest I have ridden from up there was mid October. That was before heated grips, seat, and good winter gear.

Last year we did have a weather issue and had to use the snow date (Sunday) but it mostly effected the folks north of us. We can see early 20's at KSU. Usually in the 40's around noon. A couple of years ago it was in the 60's by the afternoon so we had a large (29) group. I have a good time pre-riding the route through out November. We have refined it over the years to take out as much main roads as possible.

Going to put it on my calendar, George.

But I'll also be one of the first to wuss out if the weather sucks.

Hopefully I won't need dental work this time, and can make it through the whole ride.

As I told Alan and Helen, my wife will be happy to feed you if you come down the night before

And I'd be glad to do that. Just promise me that I can sleep in that fancy man cave for the night.

No problem, cable-internet-heat-potty etc. I do have a fridge (1944 Frigidaire) but do not stock your fancy pants beer.

You got that right Mike.

When we pre-rode it a few weeks ago there was a lot of new pavement and more being done. If the rain holds off this Friday I will be checking the roads again.

Pre-ride done today. Only one construction detour, 62 degrees, we are ready to go. Now if only the temps stay good we are golden.

Sounds like fun, wish I could go. Hmmm, always thought the rock would be bigger.

I'm hoping but looks like it'll be a last minute decision later on. Depends on what time I can break away today along with watching the weather.
