Home safe and sound. Thanks to everyone who put in the work to make CFR 2022 happen!

I created a shared Google Photo album for CFR 2022 and uploaded my photos. It's setup so anyone with a Google/Gmail account can login and add their photos. Feel free to contribute if you like! If you don't have a Gmail account you can follow the link and view the album.

Both Cat and I had a great time at our first CFR and we both felt very welcomed into the group. We have made some good new friends and found some new riding buddies. We made it to Cat's appointment today for the big C and even saw some whales on the ferry over to the Island. I hope everyone had a safe and fun ride home like us.
Ps: the rode from Fauquier to Vernon was awesome.

Thanks for CFR staff, great to see many old friends, and make a few ones. I was tardy in committing to the event, bummed to hear about Bob's get-off, and delighted I welcomed by Dave, and even fortunate to sub at dinner for a rider that couldn't attend. Donating cash once I got there and paying forward for the meal at the rider's suggestion was my pleasure as I know these events can difficult organizing them myself.

The ferry to Revelstoke and road from New Denver to Kaslo have long been several of my favorites in the region and this trip the weather was perfect for them again. An excellent mocha and rhubarb pecan muffin punctuated my Saturday....I completely failed to take a picture of until after I had inhaled them.

Sitting with Dave one of the evenings drinking a questionable choice of peanut butter whiskey I'd snagged in Republic the night before--we both were delighted to hear banter and laughs of reunited friends, see smiles, and chuckle at Skooterg regaling stories of his 13 FJRs over the years. The late twilight of the high latitude evening made a few of us realize a helicopter was on the hotel sign. Who knew? Simple, fun, and good.

I look forward to the next CFR.290505078_10221492300277738_7069257662215752022_n.jpg 290122750_10221492300717749_4215757368149924518_n.jpg 290415969_10221492299317714_5606024926997740268_n.jpg

Bob, it would be best to wait until everyone here gets a chance to upload photos. Since the album is currently unlocked anyone with a Google/Gmail account <could> upload photos. I'll give it a week or so, then lock it down. Then you are free to share the link with anyone you want. Sound OK?

Nice to meet you guys!
Yeah, Hwy 6 is the 2nd best mc road in our province (according to ratings), but IMHO it's the best because there is a lot less traffic and almost no ticket issuers from the ferry to Cherryville.

If you get bored on a weekend, the jaunt from the hwy into Port Alice can be a ton of fun. Just be ready, you'll always meet at least one bear on the hardtop

Your neighbours, in Chemainus

Thanks to all the people who made this event happen. Nikki and I had a great time catching up with friends and making new ones. The location, weather, and riding was amazing.

Well, all good things have to come to an end and after 16 days on the road I am home. Now, it is time to get ready to go back to work. UGH!!

Hopefully see some of you at the Ruben Run.

I was in a hurry to get home Sunday, so I barrelled out of Nakusp about 7:30 and rode 58 km on the wrong road. I realized I had an issue when the road curved to the right and took a dive straight into Arrow lake! Back to Nakusp and start again. Two long days of riding got me into Sacramento in 104 degree comfort (40 for some of you). Yuk. But not so bad, and amazingly, no smoke in the Central Valley! (At least then. A new fire started north of me on Tuesday.) But made it on time for the Wednesday swearing-in of eight new Sac County Sheriff Deputies, including my son Jacob. Damn proud of him!

It's SO beautiful up there! Perfect weather, good folks, fun, fun roads! Even when they're the WRONG roads! Thanks to all, Bob Collings for getting it set up, and to Tyler and others for picking up where he left off. Good to see or meet everybody.

Bob, I see a few people connected to the Google Photo share site but nobody added any photos. :( I'll go ahead and lock it down. Share away! (y)

Arrived home in the Bay Area last Saturday. Total journey was 4,301 miles and spent a couple of delightful days in Denver visiting one of my boys!

I much appreciated again seeing so many familiar faces from the little community we’ve built together over the years, sharing what we love to do.

Cheers!
