For anyone coming down from the North Shore, we are planning to do a little meet up at the rest area on Rte 128 South (aka I-95) just south of the Mass Pike at ~ 7:30AM....

Looks like we may be able to this ride. Fred, are you planning to slab down to 128? Hmmm, 7:30 -- guess Tony won't be making this ride

OK, that did it, I am in for the ride. Solo, Sandi just pointed at the post and told me I was on it solo. “There is no freakin’ way I can get talked into this!.”

Let me shovel the few inchs of snow away from the bike and I am to the ride, or I can sleep in and avoid this folly!!!!!

Here is quick one of the group, minus a couple of people. Usually we only have a couple of fjrs in attendance (my son and I). This year it was amazing what a little good weather can do to attendance.

Here are a few starter pixs. It was a true very late fall day where the weak sun made picture taking less than optimal. It was a stellar day though, with lots of sun and really nice weather for the end of November. This was probably responsible for the good turnout for the ride.

This was a non-denominational ride, everyone was welcome. There was even a Spider mixed in due to some issues with the intended motorcycle.

Cranberry bog. Cranberries are grown in a wet bog, but not a flooded bog. The bogs are sometimes flooded during growing to protect the crops, but the bogs are usually just, well, boggy. Cranberries grow on a low ground hugging thicket of vines. During harvesting the bog is flooded and a beating machine rattles the vines until the hollow, floating berries come to the surface where they get skimmed off.

Now that's a dog!

And, there it is! That is exactly what a Mayflower looks like. Really.

Thanks George for the ride, and to the NH & North shore contingent for grouping up for the ride down.

So sorry to have bailed out on you before the full consummation, but after I somehow missed the Mickey D's (I"m pretty sure I know how that happened) I realized that my teeth were killing me (I need dentist attention next week) and I didn't have enough vitamin I to get me home without serious consternation.

The morning ride over to the rock was awesome. The weather was better that that, superlative. :yahoo: I'm sure that I missed a great feed at lunch , but really the ride west would have been better accompanied (if perhaps a tad slower) I'm sure.

Made it back to the NH homestead before sunset, to the comfort of ibuprofen and bourbon. Yes, yes... I'm feeling much better.

It was 'specially great to see so many old friends again.

Can't wait until next year...

...or maybe next weekend?

Hmm... Based on the number of typos, I'd say more bourbon than ibuprofen.

I just had 4 bike show up this morning led by our very own lrider for the rock ride. He said he thought the ride was Sunday-I said take a look around, you guys seem to be it. Right now Leo is buying breakfast for a few guys and getting his balls busted.

Thanks! I take most of my photos 'blind' whether I'm riding or not, so I didn't see the name on the truck until I downloaded and reviewed the shots last night. I got chills when I saw it.
