WOW, this is something else and there are two things to see here. First is the vast extent oif the devastation in Japan. Second is the technology used to present this. It happened just a very few days ago. Run your pointer down the extreme right side of the screen and slide it across each photo, right to left. It peels back the "before" photo to show the "after" photo of the same scene.

Run the pointer back and forth across each picture.

Intense Devastation --------- shown by a unique technique

Dave... Thanks... That is amazing... I watched a National Geographic Special the other night about mega earthquakes and the Pacific Northwest. They discuss a fault line that runs from Northern California to Vancouver Island called the Cascadia Fault and it is a subduction fault like the one on Japan. According to the program the PNW is due for a large "mega quake" about every 500 years. They talked about a huge tsunami that hit Japan around 1700 and the scientists think it was from movement on the Cascadia fault. I recommend this program to everyone... They even talked about a fault zone in mid-America.
