I picked up a 2014 recently and been cleaning up and checking over things
Thought I would share the best caliper cleaner I have found. I found this concoction online a few years back and it destroys soap scum on shower doors like no other, and was incredible at dissolving the grime on the calipers and pad edges
3 parts white vinegar and 1 part blue dawn dish soap
Placed in a spray bottle and used an old toothbrush and it worked amazing
I kept the hose handy for rinsing, and WOW ! I could not believe how much brake dust accumulated in 17,000 miles
Pulled the pins and dropped the pads to clean around the pistons
Hit the pins with some 1000 grit and cleaned them up too.
