Cannonball starting soon, in Portland Maine

I was hoping at least to catch them at the end of stage 4 at Bowling Green Ohio but would really like to know the exact route they’re taking to get there from Jamestown NY. Motorcyclecannonball.com doesn’t have detail beyond checkpoint info. Are they supposed to take a predetermined route or just get to the checkpoint?

Going to have to try and catch them in the Tri-Cities (WA) and/or Columbia river gorge, as they near the finish.

What a cool adventure it would be to make that trek.

What an awesome idea. Wonder why this is the first I've heard of it? I wonder what the equivalent of an FJR was in 1925?

Today was the start.

Yesterday was the big get-together with media and throngs of people, at the harbor park in South Portland. The Cannonball FB site has video.

After working for a few hours this morning, screamed over to Portland (Maine) to the H-D dealership and got a video of the third wave of riders leaving. Area was mobbed. I heard around 110 - 115 participants this year. Pretty cool that the organizers picked "Portland to Portland", which will probably never happen again.

Anyway, I'll get my video from Smugmug posted this weekend.

I hope to see them Sunday night when they stay here in Binghamton. I'll wear my FJR tee in case anyone else plans to show up too.
