They have already had the morning session. Pedrossa was quickest 1:43.7 thats 2 seconds faster than last years pole. Stoner had a slow slide off and DePunier and Elias destroyed their No. 1 bikes. I have just seen the replay, although the track is dry the kerbs are still wet. In the slo-mo you see spray come up from the kerb just as DePunier hits it.

They are just going out for the second practice. I have bobbed home for lunch....looks like it will be a long lunch!

Rossi is at it again. To coincide with the Euro 2008 soccer championship starting, he has had his leathers made to look like he is wearing an Azuri soccer kit with shorts and shirt and pink leather wherever his skin would show right down to pink gloves!

Ducati to test their 09 bike on Monday and Stoner will ride it on Tuesday. Rumours are that there is a Carbon fibre-composite chassis, similar to F1.

Lorenzo just had a bad crash, not moving, looks in a lot of pain holding his arm in the air. Just seen the replay, he saved a high-side and then lost the front all in one movement. He had a long slide with his hand under the bike then did several sumersaults landing on his feet each time. Now sat up but looks very sore.

Hopper been stretchered off. A high-side sent him over the front onto his shoulders, crawled off the track and collpased, again looked in a lot of pain.

42 to go Capirossi fastest.

Just shown Lorenzo crash again, his foot looked to be flopping about and took 2 big hits to his head.

Just shown him being stretchered into medical centre from the ambulance, eyes shut tight in a lot of pain.

Should he have rested after breaking his feet?

35 to go Capirossi still fastest. 1:43.023

Hayden currently 5th.

Test rider for Ducati been going round Mugello much faster than Melandri did.....oops, possible gardening leave for Melandri coming up. All very well doing it in testing, could he do it under GP pressure?

Caniper (Duc tester) is the only rider who rides the bike the same way that Stoner does.

Injury update:

Lorenzo out cold and doesn't remember the crash at all. They think his feet are OK but he is going to hospital for x-rays and a head scan. Also damaged a finger.

Hopkins has a bruising to lower back and ankle.

28 to go Capirossi still fastest. 1:43.023

Tose first time here currently 12th.

27 to go Hayden stays 6th after a fast lap.
