When I buy insurance I am always asked if I plan to travel in the U.S...”because you will need more insurance coverage..americans love to sue for very high amounts of money” Ya dont suppose its all just a scam by insurance companies?
Odd...I've NEVER been asked that

More on this. My insurance company, Progressive, is sending me the required stuff. A friend's insurance company, Geico, said U.S. Proof of Insurance works in Canada. Go figure. YMMV.
Progressive here. I called them. Told them I was traveling to Canaduh. They sent me the card. Figured it can't hurt.

The reason State Farm is valid in Canada, State Farm does business in Canada, Taaaa Daaaaah!

Let us all hope we do not need to provide proof on insurance for any reason while tooling around the Selkirks.

Canadian border guards will never ask about auto insurance.

(If they think someing is hinkey, they will detain and call in the horseman)

Insurance policies determine geographic coverage, not office locations.
