This was towards the end of a little BC loop including Watson Lk in the Yukon.

The picture below is a reminder to me of one of my most pleasurable rides. Mine is the second bike, the front bike is Peter's (Peter of Highland Rider, now closed).
Peter was leading a group of us. His rear tyre wore down too far, he knew of a motorcycle garage on the other side of Scotland from our destination hotel that day. The rest of the group were sent to the hotel under guidance from a regular customer. He, with me as an escort, went to this garage, where a new tyre was fitted.
"Take it easy for the first 50 miles" was the advice given.
He took it easy for the first 50 feet (the garage yard was heavy gravel). Then we crossed Scotland to the hotel (something around 100 miles). The weather was perfect, the roads were empty, the views were astonishing (as only the right combination of scenery, weather, and angle of the sun can give), we stopped a couple of times to admire our surroundings, I took a couple of photos (as did he). Had we not stopped, it would have been some sort of record time.
So, my '06 behind his '05, my shadow to prove I was there.

The FJR that started me on this FJRPath®...2004, bought used with 2200 miles on it from a fellow up north...sold it to fellow forum member Patriot with about 74K miles on it...
..with the funds from the sale of the '04, bought this '08, with 00 miles on it...rode it to exactly 88,000 miles...
..
...then traded the '08 Gen II on a new '13 gen III, 00 miles on it, straight from the crate to me...now have about 58K on it...zero problems thus far..
