Hey folks! I've been contemplating an upgrade on my MT-07 since last riding season but now I'm finally ready to start shopping. Last August I rented a '15 FJR1300A for a day and it really impressed me, and sold me on the bike.

Of course, now that I'm officially ready to buy something, the supply seems to have disappeared within a couple hundred miles of home in Northern IL. So, it's time to wait some more! I'm sure as spring approaches I'll start seeing some clean examples pop up nearby. It's been months already, what's a few more weeks, eh?

What do you consider "a couple of hundred" miles? 1-2 hundred or 6-7 hundred? How far is this from you? I think it's priced a bit high but it's a nice bike.

Yep. High. Good luck with the search, but keep a fly n' ride option in mind. A nice long ride home can be a lot of fun on the right bike. Congrats on figuring out what the right bike was.

Well that was quick! I found this 2015 only three hours away in Iowa. Brought it home yesterday.

It's in fantastic shape and I got a solid deal. I'm stoked.
I am so glad I have one. I found one last fall that I was able drive to a 2007 with 32878 miles very clean all original with the Yamaha trunk. It has a couple of light scratches on the left side case other than that the paint is perfect. There is a guy on this fourm that said these bikes are like unicorns. I’m guessing they are hard to find.

If it's the right bike at the right price etc etc.... best make the effort and go see it.... regardless of distance imho👍
