FJRF009.2: "Intermittent Ground Wire Connection"

I hear ya, but I’m thinking that clean and tight connections for the starter, positive and grounds, can only be a good thing since the starter draws the most current.

#8 is the grounding lug for the main battery negative terminal. There is another smaller black and green wire that connects to the lug too, and runs up to the grounding sub harness that connects to S4. I cleaned em up with a wire brush and bolted it back together. Unfortunately, I did see some green copper oxide inside the lug crimp around the main battery wire strands. I’ll hunt down a new terminal lug and cut the wire back to clean copper. Or I’ll just buy a new battery negative cable from Yamaha for $20.
