Harley Bag on FJR?

I've got a quick question—do you think it's possible to fit a Harley saddlebag onto an FJR? My friend recently got an FJR without the panniers, and I happen to have a pair of Harley saddlebags from my previous bike. I'm wondering if we could make them work on his FJR.

Can't really answer that question from behind a keyboard. Why doesn't your friend just ride over and give it a test fit? I'm sure you'll have to get creative with mounting them or determine if it can be done at all.

Right now, I'm in Los Angeles, and he needs to travel from Las Vegas. So if it is possible to add them, I'd suggest he come over to my location for a test.

Looking at the Harley Bags, you would need to add hangers for the rear top and a system to hang them on to the lower bracket to the back. After that you'd need a system to secure them to the bike (essential) as the Yamaha locking system probably couldn't be easily made to work.

If you have access to a 3D printer you may be able to cobble something together.

You would need something like my Ukrainian setup as a base to build your mounts. Maybe not as extensive as this, but something you can build off.
