Be real flexible on price. I found a 2010 in Lewisville, TX. 9000 miles. $9250. 8 years and 20k miles ago. If you have traveling in mind the FJR delivers. Man, what a motorcycle.
That rocks! I love the long legs of these bikes!
Unfortunately that is pretty much my budget right now. As much as all the bells and whistles would be nice on the '13 I'm seeing '08-'11's up for sale in my area that are more in my budget. Anything to be aware of on these bikes?

Speedbird,

Check CraigsList both locally and nationwide:
www.searchtempest.com

Fly'n'ride is a popular approach to getting your best FJR deal back to your home The FJRs have long legs.
Also check newspapers (remember newspapers?), TV stations (if they host want ads), and CycleTrader locally, although that last one is spotty, at best. Beware of deals with any third parties in them, and salvage titles. I would not carry cash, debit, or gift cards there, or anywhere. Happy hunting!

Hi all! Got super busy and had to put the bike search down.....well by chance this week a mint 2010 Honda NT700v went up for sale down the road from me that was very much in my budget (extreme low side). Ended up going with that for now! Someday I'll get me a FJR but for now I guess I'm a Honda guy?!?
Thanks again for all the support!
