Nothin' else up there, is there? There's no frame rails under the engine, as the engine is a stressed member hanging under the frame.

Although some have made pegs that attach to their sliders. Too high for me. Raises your feet, but still leaves your knees bent pretty sharply.

It is too sharp a bend for extended riding, but if you just rest your calf on the peg it's comfortable. I have a set on my sliders and use both "foot on peg" and "calf on peg" positions to get some variety on long trips. When the feet are on the pegs, it's actually comfortable to rest my arms on my legs also.

 
Mount them with aluminum bolts if that worries you. bolts will break [hopefully] in a crash without damage to the cases.
