It has been about 6 months since getting my new to me 2020 FJR.
Gotta say. WOW!!!!!
I am pushing 60 and have so many different bikes I cant remember them all. 3 dif. Harleys, BMW K1600 a 2020 Indian Challenger, 4 dif. concourse, multiple Hondas, and so on( wife says I get bored and swap) its really I just love riding anything with 2 wheels.
I currently have a 2020 FIR
only mods i have done are Heli riser and Corban seat and tail bag
have done alot of in town and several 200 to 300 mile runs

2012 Harley Road glide ( my wife likes the big seat and easier for her to climb on) FJR is to fast for her.

1st off the FJR is not perfect. But WOW again.
I have not had a bike that the engine and tranny are so in tune with each other. It is the smoothest running bike I have ever owned.
sitting at a light if it as not for the pipes and the engine whine. I would know it was running. no vibration what so ever.

2nd coolest running bike ever, In Arizona we get HOT. in 105 degree weather the engine temp will be constant at 189 degrees of course it goes up at a sitting at a light.
it was 60 degrees yesterday, the bike stayed at 165-170 in traffic

3nd the torque range is sick. from standing start to dropping a gear and going. its always there. great to have the feeling of being able to get out of harms way if need be.

4th not the best seating position I have ridden but the feeling of being part of the bike is overwhelming. I catch myself zipping along and just smiling to my self. and feeling safe. if that makes any since, on a bike running in traffic.

5th the hand controls are very well positioned, easy to use and understand. ( unlike the BMW K1600)

6th riding control is very well balanced. I can throw this thing all over.

CONS:

A little cramped for a 6ft tall guy. ( i Know its a SPORT touring, I get it)

concourse has better leg wind protection.

the gear box whine at 50 plus MPH kills my Tinnitus

Not a lot of cons, just little personal stuff, Not the bikes fault.

All and all this FJR is Going no where. I just cant see my self ever getting Bored with it, Unless I go newer LOL

yall be safe riding season is coming, get it out and shout,
see ya on the road with the little hand wave :)

How many miles do you have on it?
At 6'3" (34" inseam), I do not feel especially cramped on the bike but won't deny that I wouldn't like another 1-2" of seat-to-feet room. I LIKE the riding position - upright with feet below rider.
I have some hearing loss and tinnitus due to genetics, age and 67 years of abuse so I wear foam earplugs 100% of the time on the bike. With high frequency hearing loss, I don't especially notice gearbox whine but mine is a Gen II 5-speed...

Also 6'3" 34" inseam. I got the extra 1-2" via peg lowers that were on my 2008 when I bought it last year. Funny... I had purchased a set of the peg lowers for a previous FJR, but took them off due to decreased cornering clearance. So far on the current bike I am OK with the tradeoff and am leaving them on.

One issue... Doesn't the Corbin seat only use the low position? This would make the seat to peg even tighter for a 6'+ rider.

I must correct I stated a new Corbin seat, ( wrong bike ) I added a new Sargent seat. You are correct. originally the seat would mount in lower position. but with some wiggling I was able to mount the front tab above the spacer. so it maintains the max I can get. pretty much the same as stock height.
if you recall were did you get the peg lowers from?

6’1” here and Murph’s peg lowering kit made a difference for me. I’ve posted my solution that many of us have with resulting “pigeon toe” with pegs being moved outward about 1 1/4” effectively causing rear brake and shifter to more inward relative to original peg position
