I've bought a couple of aftermarket Sargent seats, including a set for my 06 FJR AE. I've also had them build me a couple of totally custom seats on stock seat pans for some more exotic bikes.
My experience has been very positive in every case. Bill in the custom seat division appears to me to be an honest broker and sufficiently well-skilled to craft an excellent custom seat within the limits of the stock seat pan. Their mass produced aftermarket seats, like the ones they make for the FJR, have worked very well for me on a variety of bikes.
Service after the sale has been good too, and pricing seems fair.
Some folks complain that the Sargent seats are "too hard." I'm a pretty big guy, and I have no trouble breaking in the Sargent foam within a few hundred miles. YMMV.
