Does anyone know who might have the retainer part for the side bag? The part with the cord that keeps the lid from going down onto the muffler.
All parts sight are showing them unavailable. 5JW-W9360-00-00

Never heard of anyone ever needing to replace one! I expect the best bet is to get one from someone who has a trashed bag.
Good luck.

In the interim, I would use a non-retracting cord to protect the bag - just have to tuck it in when you close the bag.

Edit: I wonder if you could repurpose a retracting keychain...

I have one. Saved it after destroying the box unit and lid. Thought it may come in handy some day. It is yours, for what ever you would like to pay for it plus shipping.

I'll give you $20 plus shipping if the part still works correctly.

Ross, I've been blessed with the ability to break anything. Ha!

GPRIDER, PM me your address, phone #, and I will try to get it out tomorrow, USPS. You will need the screws to install it, and it works just fine.

I messaged you in conversations. Sent phone and address. Call me or text me when you can or message me back on how much I will owe after shipping and how you would like to be paid.
