Rick (XCSP), Karl (Aireboss) and I were early birds and arrived separately on Wednesday. We went for a early ride on Thursday, had lunch in Rockton and returned to the hotel to greet the majority arriving in the afternoon. Rick on the left, Karl on the right and me staying out of it so as not to damage the camera lens.

Friday ride of the Root River Alternate route. Group participants were myself, Dave (FastJoyRide), Sylvia (Ms FastJoyRide), Jack (Old School), Kristen (mysteryjunky) and Frank (frankt911).

Start of the Rallye Rally

One of my favorite Rallye Rally bonuses (see post above for my REAL favorite), just down the street from the pie shop. Need to stop back and walk through it again when I've got a bit of time.

Assessing ride options...so many roads, so little time.

Make sure you save time to catch some ZZZ's

Wisconsin is full of weird and wonderful roadside attractions. Like this Boeing C-97 parked in front of the Don Q Inn outside Dodgeville. Always wanted to stop there. FInally found the time!

The Don Q itself is oddball. They offer Fanta-suites. JSNS.

Also checked off (partially) a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's home, Taliesin, in Spring Green. Only had time to tour the architectural school and part of the grounds. Will have to set aside several hours on my next visit to get through the house.
