I lowered my 07 FJR with a dogbone kit. The bike dropped by 30mm and handled like a bag of shit. It's now back to normal height and I'm currently undergoing leg-lengthening surgery.

That's pretty much the same as these home made units dropped the bike. The ground looked real close when leaning into a nice bend.

Try sticking your head up there. There are others currently attempting this type of therapy. Results are as yet unknown.

The questions; How much lowering is too much? I know there is a safe limit to lower any bike. This guy says the bike is about 3/4 inch lower measured at the seat. I may install the stock links to check out the height diff myself. Is this a reasonable amount to have an FJR lowered?

If you ever decide to change suspension-some, such as the Wilbers have a height adjustment.
