The air screw is spring-loaded with an O-ring and a flat washer?. Don't know if the O-ring or spring-induced friction keeps the screw from turning from engine vibration?
If one adjusts the screws way too often will the O-rings wear down allowing the screw to move about a bit?
On my '04 the screws seem to turn with less resistance now than when new.
