I was to stay in Sin City for only two days after Cedar City before going to the Bay Area of California, but I'm still in Las Vegas. I've gone to the VA Hospital here twice because of pain and limited use of my left arm but the new billon dollar hospital doesn't have the specialists yet that can treat my condition. I'm going to leave the FJR in Las Vegas and fly to Illinois today and see if the VA back home can fix me,
Well that sucks Tom. The positive side is that you have a fly and ride in your future! Hope they get things worked out for you.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties.

Vegas is about 150 miles from here, but if there's anything I can do to help you out, let me know.

John

Well, I found I had trouble keeping up with Petey on the mud road while riding Zion on my Super Tenere, so I traded it off for a 2013 FJR1300 today. Just like Peter's.

When I grow up, I want to be just like Petey.......

By the way: It's my 5th FJR in 10 years or so.

Only been 21 bikes in 11 years, but who's counting. Goldielocks was my hero as a kid.

At least it keeps me out of the bars.

Just "like" Petey's or is it Petey's?

Just like....

That ride evidently gave the economy quite a boost.

Of the three bikes on the ride, two have been replaced and the third has new suspension f&r.

I finally got back to Las Vegas to retrieve my FJR and continue my interrupted Great American Adventure. Left Vegas and stayed at the Inn at Benton Hot Springs, crossed the Sierras on 108 (what a road!) and went to Benicia to visit the daughter and grandkids for four days. Stopped at a Yamaha dealer in Vallejo for replacement of headlight bulbs then proceeded to South Lake Tahoe to visit some in-laws. Rode from SLT on the loneliest highway in America to Delta, Utah. This morning I left Delta and am now in Ouray, Colorado for the night. Oh my God, Colorado 141, 145, & 62 were a blast.

TS, glad to see you're back on the road. MudslideMiller is correct. Colorado has some epic roads. Have a great time! If you come this way, yell. I'll hook you up with a meal and something to drink.

Glad to hear you're back in the saddle!! Isn't Benton Hot Springs cool? One of my favorite places to go to relax! And I think you mean 108 over the Sierras? And yes it is awesome! Did you ride up Pikes Peak or Mt Evans in Colorado?
