Oregon DMV question

FjRay found a nice 81 KZ1300 near him and bought it for me. I reimbursed Ray, and Ray had to jump through hoops to get the title transferred from the seller. Lost title forms, Oregon DMV, you get the idea.

Finally, Ray succeeded in getting the title changed to his name.

Then Ray passed on. Sigh.

What should the plan of action be? There's no issue with family that I'm the rightful owner, the questions revolve around best strategy to change title to me.

1. Transfer the title using California DMV (my residence)
2. Transfer title using Oregon DMV then when cleared change to Calif title?

Thoughts?

Who is the Executor of Ray's estate? Usually they have the power of attorney to sign things over. Then you could take the title to the Cal DMV.
Patience will be your friend.

What Panman said. Whoever has the power of attorney signs the back of the title and then ships it off to you. You in turn go to the DMV or AAA, if you are a member, and re-register it in your name. You will need these two forms completed,
