Gadzooks! Yet another PDP whiner  There's plenty of past anachdotal stories from people who bought and love their FJR. What you are missing out on is a very nice sport tourer that serves well for all types of riding, including the long distance rider. Good luck on your quest for the perfect bike. Maybe that new Kaw will serve you well. But, you will have to wait for it :D I was delighted to wait in 2002 for the first FJRs to hit our shores. YES! I'll give you 500 bucks gladly and wait 'til whenever to try that bike. I was not disapointed in the least. Best bike I ever owned (until now). p.s. Some manufacturers are going the way of cage marketing. If one wants an ABS equipt GL1800, one must also buy all the levels in between. A new marketing sales twist by the folks over at Honda. Lots of people bitching about that too.
