Friday morning and the PNW committee are attempting to come to some sort of corporate decision on where to go for the day...
Bungie needed and biobreak & a smoke so we took a turn in off Hwy 4 beside this little creek...
The gathering at the turn north for Tofino...
There was some scputure on dispaly at the visitors' center...
Bungie & I make it into Tofino, him on his darkside tire...
Most of the Tofino crowd decided to stop at the wharf, not that you were going to ride any further...
This is it, the end of the Trans-Canada Highway...
It would have not been right to go all the way to the West Coast and not go play on the beach...
Bungie called it, this was the money shot...
When Bungie asked if we could take her photo she said it was OK since she was just part of the local wildlife...
I had spotted this part of the river and stopped in on the way back for a photo op...
The final stop on the road on the way back was at Cathedrel Grove to see some of the last standing old growth rain forest left on the island...
The tree in the photo is about 800 years old.
The rest of my photos from Friday can be seen
here.
Today, if the weather holds, it is off to Gold River.
I also have some good video from today but it is going to take some work to edit it all so that will have to wait for now.
Later...
