Pit-Bull TRS for the FJR

Just installed my new Pit-Bull TRS (Trailer Restraint System). I've always wanted one and now they finally make one for the FJR!

The TRS holds the bike vertical and in place via pins or in our case a pin and replacement castle nut through the rear axle. Since the TRS and rear axle is now clamped down to the floor there is no need for tie downs or straps, etc. and the suspension is no longer under load, so it can freely bounce up and down as you travel. When you remove the bike all that's left is a plate on the floor!

No other restraints or stabilizers needed with this setup. Just the TRS system at the back wheel does all the work!

One person is all that's needed.

Put the "goal posts" as I call them on the rear axle (while the bike is on the side stand or center stand) and there is a bungee to hook onto the bike and lift it up off the ground while moving around. Then drop the goal posts right in front of the receiver and roll the bike into its final position where it is captured by the floor clamps and then you put the safety pins in place and done!

These things are rock solid. They've been used by racers for years and years now.

A toy hauler for me. I can trailer my bike and sleep in the trailer as my Gf and I travel around the USA. While we both like to ride we don't like to ride everywhere, every day. This just makes sense for us.

Very nice setup! I am wondering - there is no interference between the bottom of the muffler and the right side pin on the stand? It doesn’t look like it on the picture, but it is close.

I've used the TRS system for over 10 years on my R-1 race bike. ROCK SOLID, PERIOD. Glad to hear they make the 'pins' for the FJR now. This is simply the best set up out there. FYI- make sure your wood trailer floor isn't rotted out. They are a little pricey and you'll see they are worth it after the first use.

As far as the trailering, my wife is willing to put in several hours on the bike, but NOT all day riding day after day on a trip. I want her to enjoy riding around the country on great roads and view scenery that you don't find in central FL. So it's a bit of a compromise, but worth it.

Plus she works in the hotel business, so it's a nice change to bring our own place to stay with us instead.

Yeah it's kind of close. I'm thinking of pulling the pin and rotating it 90* to give it a little more room under the exhaust just in case.

The real reason I got the class C toy hauler was.......
Haul my race bikes to the track!
I'm too old to be sitting in the paddock in full leathers under a little canopy with the FL sun beating down on me.

Also, taking the RV to COTA to watch MotoGP isn't too bad either.
