Power Commander III USB, accessing or removing.

I’ll be selling my original owner, low mileage ‘05 FJR soon and need some feedback. Within a year or two of buying it I installed a Power Commander III USB that has some adjustments to the stock map. Haven’t touched the mapping since then. I recall using an old laptop with an old version of windows. Can I easily access the PC III USB and pick up where I left off using a new laptop that uses a more recent version of Windows? Is it as simple as installing the latest version of the application to communicate with the PC III or should I expect glitches when connecting and reading the data?

Would you leave the PC III installed with or without current mapping before selling the bike or uninstall it and part it out separately? Work wise I’d rather leave it installed, but is there any reason I shouldn’t?
