Question about operating temp. . .

I rode up to Seattle today, in heavily congested traffic (walking speed for about 5 miles!) in 75• weather, and the temp gauge ran up to about 2 bars from the "hot" mark at the top of the dial. When we got back up to speed, it dropped back down to where it normally runs, which is 4 or 5 bars, and I was wondering if this is normal, or is this something that I should mention to the dealer when I take it in, Thursday, for the 600 mile checkup. . . I know that when I picked it up, that while we were standing there talking, that he shut it down, and made the comment that they don't "like" running, but not moving. Feedback from you guys, please? And thanks in advance!

It's normal.

Get away from the traffic and you'll have much more fun.
