Badges show when you look at someone's profile (or hover over their Avatar).

Oh yeah!  There was a question slipped into an upgrade yesterday and I went with the default.  Since I like to leave the forum with the default wherever possible...something new....a "reputation" based system.  

I believe at least part of it's a from-this-point-forward system and fairly sophisticated algorithm.  We'll see how it goes.

I do see there's still a number of posts icon that's rounded to the nearest 1000 or 100....and you hover it still shows your actual post count.

The handy thing is that the badges get knocked in quick succession if you've been here for any time at all.

I'm an admin on another site, but different software I believe.  This site may differ.  There is a moderator option on that software to set "custom" ranks, and/or rename the existing rank names.

(I only know of two previous mods that changed theirs.)
