Fully agree 100%. Pay to play is the only way.
Full asking price, in cash, in your hot little hand first. Once that requirement is satisfied, you get to drive it.
No Substitutions period.
You can say something like, "Sorry that I need to be a dick but... and "I'm sure you understand my position and would want the same yourself."
Good luck!

Lady Zerofun just chimed in: "Did you ever see that I'm mayhem test drive Allstate commercial?"
She's brilliant boys.

Now that looks legal..thanks for sharing it!
If my gut doesn't fell right, I ask for cash first. They can return it for a refund if not wrecked. The refund is after my inspection and I test drive.
I give them a bill of sale but no title until they come back.. Plan on adding something like this agreement and a bill of sale...Thanks again MotoMike!
That what I use, basically, just not so 'lawyered up's. In simple English.

I must be lucky. I have shown up ready with the wife. Did a general look over and chatted a little and if interested asked to ride it and left the wife back for collateral.

……

Boy all those guys are lucky I came back! :)

Just kidding on the last part.
