Looks like some of us will need to pull out the heated gear! One massive cold front on the way. Afternoon temps in the 70's for Jemison though!

Looks like I will cancel out my trip again this year.  I have to fly to U.K. For work first thing Monday after SFO and I don't want to ride 700 miles on Sunday with any possible chance of any issues that would result in missing my flight. I will be there in spirit so have an awesome time.

Well damm!  We'll miss you again this year! Maybe next year. 😊

Well so far it doesn't look like I will make it this year. Too many things going on here and no paid vacation left. Hopefully next year, but give me a shout if you go over to Arkansas Turk.

Any Walking Dead fans going?

Mrs1911 is a TWD fan. We're leaving upstate SC Thursday at sunup and plan to eat lunch in Senoia https://www.nicandnormans.com/

The route, should anybody care to join us   https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl=en&hl=en&mid=130YLHwfmzCnamymr-y8QvvJbe0R_zGPS&ll=33.630692094410705%2C-84.40659549999998&z=8
Heading down somewhere around the same time and along some of the same roads from near Shelby NC.  I'll watch for you; if I make lunch in Senoia, we'll be set.

Weather forecast is kind of iffy. Anybody at the hotel looking for a roommate?
I've got a ton of points with Choice Hotels. If things get sketchy there's a Quality Inn about 14 miles from Jemison that I'll hit up. You're more than welcome to bunk there if the need arises. They just took rain out of the forecast (for the most part) on Friday. Looks like we are still gonna get wet on Saturday.

Looking to head out bright an early at 0700 hours tomorrow morning. Here's my spotwalla if anyone is interested.

Hopefully I can make the route in one day, but its been a while since I've gotten to stretch my legs, so I'm trying to take it easy.

After looking at my mileage and maintenance after NAFO I just realized that I put 2,000 miles on the bike in 3 years. A crying shame!

I'll be coming in Thursday for your ride-in. Sounds like fun! Paypal sent in today and camping under the building.

That's great!  Looking forward to seeing you!

Glad you are finally getting to get out and ride!

650 ish miles today through 5 states. Hitting the hay in Jasper Alabama tonight. See you all soon!

My abbreviated SFO adventure started with riding with Pants for 200 miles on Thursday. I knew the weather was going to turn ugly into the weekend and my original plan was to head back to Texas on Saturday. At lunch I decided to ride for another hour then head west when we reached Scooba. Planned to stay in Shreveport but weather was still ok so I kept going. In hindsight this wasn't such a good idea since late that night I headed into Dallas to encounter the worse conditions I have ever rode in. After almost crashing 3 times I ended up pulling over 50 miles from home to stay in a flea bag motel by a truck stop.  Woke up Friday to cold conditions but an uneventful 50 miles back to my home. I hope everyone had a great time and have safely made it back to their homes.
