Ken and I explored an area of the eastern side of the coastal range near the Mendocino Forest. Mostly occupied by cattle-perfect riding conditions!

I believe I found my new favorite road on the way to Leesville

Our route included back roads through pastures and yes the sign was correct.

One of the strangest dams I’ve ever seen, plenty of rain lately too.

The area we were riding is across the Central Valley. This is our view looking west as we started up the foothills of the Sierra’s. Close to 300 miles, plenty of mud and no crashes. Good day indeed.

Yes!  It'll do 78.1 % of what our dualsports can do.   So fun to ride 80 miles on the street and then hit the dirt for hours before back on the asphalt another 80 miles to home.

Stick to the 650 for the mud.

And if you were speaking of the GS Adv you would have to say   It'll do 87.1 % of what our dualsports can do.   So fun to ride 8,000 miles on the street and then hit the dirt for days before back on the asphalt another 8,000 miles to home.

Fixed it for you John.   The only difference between the S10 and your koolaid is $5,000 dollars.

Next time I'm out that way we'll have to trade for awhile and ride 49 and the Laporte Quincy Road.  

I like the GS better on the twisties than i did the FJR or the several S10's I rode before buying the GS

No doubt the low COG would make canyon carving a little easier but let's take a ride out Tylerfoote Crossing Rd to Allegahany 😈

 
Take a spin on a properly set-up, Penske equipped Tenere, BigJohn. Engine is still a tractor but it’ll run with the best of them when the roads get twisty! 😉

LMFAO...you must come from a Harley background...they'll tell you, my Harley runs! You just need to put a Stage I, Stage II, and Stage III kit in it! You'll see!

Excellent adventure Bug. Last time we spoke, you hadn't done HWY 162/FH7 over to Covelo, and HWY 101, have you done it yet? Highly recommended, 'n the Tenere would be the perfect bike once the snows melt, and it drys out some. (You purdie much need nobbies when it's wet.) I think the top of the pass is like 7,800 feet elevation?

That Leesville/Ladoga, is purdie country, dun Leesville back when it was paved; and 100 degrees out!
