On Saturday, I rode down to Mt. St. Helens. I blasted down on I-5 to Hwy 505 and on to Hwy 504, Spirit Lake Hwy. Thanks to the cloudy weather, there was surprisingly little traffic for a Saturday. I was able to ride the twisty bits at a good clip without being held-up or having to pass many cars or H-Ds. The volcano was mostly hidden by the clouds but I went to enjoy the motorcycle ride, so no big deal. I stopped at Hoffstadt Bluffs and had a nice fried Halibut lunch at the Fire Mountain Grill.

The way home was via Hwy 508 from I-5 to Morton and then home on Hwy 7. Hwy 508 is nice and clean and was a fun ride. The only thing is that they added two stop signs along the route that were not there in previous years. It was still way better than taking Hwy 12 to Morton.

Overall, it was a fun and quick 270 mile ride.
