I hope Good ole Butch pass the Idaho bill for 80 mph. I see no reason for him not to.

As far as Oregon, I don't think that is ever going to happen. They make a lot of $$$ of of their speed traps.

I make a fair amount of trips from Idaho to Cali and going through Oregon with the 55 mph speed limit to get to the Nevada border is

nothing short of misery.

When I have to endure this BS I like to leave at 0 dark 30 on a Monday or Tuesday. Seems like the LEOs are not around, so much.

 
Since it's already split to off topic;

A few years ago Oregon department of transportation recommended that the speed limits be raised.

Sadly, the legislature declined.

I was not happy.

 
Florida is proposing raising interstate speeds from 70 to 75mph....whoo hoo! Average probably runs 80 to 85mph now.
