A buddy and I are doing a BB1500 (with a pink, juicy SS1000 inside!) on May 19th. Plan is to depart St. Louis at or about 8:00am, take I-64 to Charleston, WV, then head south on I-64 to I-77, then west on I-40 (going through Hickory, NC). We hope to hit Knoxville, TN at 10:00pm or so and get some shut-eye. Then in the morning it's down to Tapoco, NC to hit the Dragon (my new bike needs a sticker, too; it keeps spitting oil at the old bike. Ahhh those jealous kids...), then booking it from Tapoco, NC back to St. Louis, for a total of ~1530 miles. This is completely unofficial, though we will be getting witnesses from a local PD/FD around the corner from my house at the start/ends of the ride. I've done several unofficial/ uncertified 1000's before, and figured it's time I get one on the books. If anyone would like to join us, let me know.
