Starter Stumble

Bike has started a subtle but consistent change in starting. When the start button is depressed, it cranks instantly, stops for maybe a quarter of a second, then starts normally. Everything is tight. I'm guessing it's time for the third battery. Any other theories? 2014, 70,000 plus miles, and it sees a lot of hot weather creeping.

Get battery load tested

Verify all connections

Could easily be starter relay

Verify starting current with DC clamp on ammeter. If high, likely to be the starter motor.
