TBS recall and fuel injection synch

I had my bike in for service for the recall on the throttle body sensor and I thought as long as he was in there I would have him check my fuel injection. I had it checked at 4000 miles and now I have 9000 miles on it. Wow the thing was way off. The same mechanic worked on the 4000 mile tune up. I have known the mechanic for years and I trust his skills. He even billed this to Yamaha for warranty work. Just thought I would share this with everyone.

Is the throttle-body synch. the same as the fuel inj. synch.?

That would be my interpretation.

Something funny is going on if the sync goes "way off" in that short a span.
