Somewhere after April 2007 forum administrator, Ignacio, started planning and plotting what to do for April Fools Day 2008. How could he top turning the forum admins into Looney Toon characters?
Well, in about February or so our sister forum took the serious step of getting ride of their Dungeon with the Politics Only or "PO" area. Since FJRForum.com had taken this step years earlier...maybe it was time to be able to let their hair down a bit and have a little fun one day.
So starting at 11:45 p.m. Ignacio executed a script of forum changes and at 12:05 a.m. posted under his new avatar and screen name:

...and he waited. he had to wait about 21 minutes before somebody posted a question on whether the board had been hacked.

Through the wee hours of the morning a few people logged in and figured things out.....a few more were caught in the day......and April 1, 2008 will go down in history as the single day that politics ran amok on the forum.
What will happen in 2009? Definitely not politics.

Mock Forum Guidelines
This forum is to discuss Politics. You may liken this forum to your whacky nutjob blog, where you can flame people anonymously, discuss politics in general, and lament the sad state of the world in general. Here are the (very few) rules:
1. Only porn that is "Not Work Safe" is encouraged. Please label work safe porn with "WS".
2. No FJR/Yamaha/motorcycle crap. There are countless forums/blogs on the web if you want to delve into these non-divisive topics. This is a political forum. That said, political discussions SPECIFICALLY about pending motorcycle legislation, regulation, and FJRs are allowable.
3. No non politically-correct fucktards.
4. No non asshats in general....unless it's one you wear.
5. No personal compliments. However, when some asshat is nice to somebody, group dog-piles are perfectly acceptable.
6. Those who are easily offended should file a lawsuit immediately. Posts in this forum may or may not contain adolescent language/themes. Whiney-gash snivelers will be forced to become admins. Deal with it.
7. Always remember that you are IN CHARGE in this virtual house. The Admins are your bitches. When you are in charge in your house, fart and tell people what to do as much as you want. If you don't have a stinker on deck, make arm fart noises and question a person's lineage...or you'll find your dumb ass on the sidelines, participating in a "non-smelly" mode for a period of 7 days. Repeat offenders fall under Rule #4, and will be anally probed. If you try to re-register under another name after you have sent to the corner for a timeout, you are lucky to have a second e-mail address and will never get caught.
8. Avatars should make your genitalia appear larger than in real life. Signatures should be used in a way that overwhelms the size and quality of your posting...and in ALL CAPS! For more detailed information about avatar and signature line acceptability consult your personal guru.
9. FJRForum.com is aware that several pirate service manual websites exist and would appreciate you share these sources with others, and post copies of whatever copyrighted material you can find.
10. Leisure Suit Larry is our idol and will be venerated this magical day with a ticker tape parade. Post lots of pictures of the product designs he's ripped off from others. Any posts found without mentioning LSL will have a mention of him added.
These Guidelines will be updated tomorrow.
Refer to them periodically to determine if you can won't poop yourself laughing.
